Dartmoor: Ten Tors Training Walk 1 - Postbridge Circular Via Kestor Rock (14 miles)

Thornworthy Tor

This was always going to be an interesting day. For months I had considered doing Ten Tors, but lack of fitness, lack of teamwork, never camping, and lack of stamina and motivation brought me down. This is the first walk of many to train the team for the event in May 2018, so I gave it a try. At least I could bag a few tors along the way!

Dartmoor's largest hole!

It was a bit damp underfoot, but I was so keen to complete this 14-mile walk. Eventually, after mental and physical pain, I finished, with everyone else, bagging Hartland Tor, Sittaford Tor, Shovel Down, Kestor Rock, Thornworthy Tor, Water Hill and Merripit Hill.
