My (Slow) South-West Coast Path Journey

Starehole Cove near Salcombe

Another one of my absolutely crazy ideas, but one which should hopefully keep me entertained for a few decades - the roughly 630-mile long South-West Coast Path (SWCP), between Swanage in Dorset and Minehead in Somerset. Embracing the magnificent coastline of the South-West peninsula, this long-distance path runs along coastal cliffs, through dense woodlands, alongside bustling seaside towns and, best of all, passes close by to some of the UK's finest beaches... and don't forget the views.

Follow my progress by revisiting this page every few years. On the map, the yellow sections are completed, the green are incomplete and the blue is a recommended alternative route.

KEY:

       = Completed stretch of SWCP

= Alternative route that I could take

       = Not yet walked
