Have you ever wandered around the eastern part of Dartmoor and stumbled upon outcrops that appear to be nameless? Well, fear not, as this book will act as an invaluable guide. It will teach you about the history of the rocks and showcase a tremendous collection of references to a number of obscure publications – quotes that are yet to appear in print.

East Dartmoor’s Lesser-Known Tors and Rocks was published by The Dartmoor Company in October 2022 as a paperback book comprising over 350 pages. It also includes over 240 photographs.

Foreword supplied by renowned Dartmoor explorer and lesser-known tor enthusiast and writer Tim Jenkinson.

If you reside outside of the UK, please enquire about shipping BEFORE committing to a purchase.

I include a sample double-page spread:

"Each of the 367 pages makes for an interesting read that truly conjures up the majesty of these tors and rocks with the added benefit of their associated history, folk lore, and any inscriptions where applicable. In recent years there has been a surge in people wanting to visit the tors and rocks of Dartmoor and has become known as “Tor Bagging.” In this light I would consider this book which along with a map etc. is a ‘must have’ accompaniment. Likewise for anyone who has just a love or interest in Dartmoor then this title surely needs to be sat on their bookshelves." Tim Sandles, Legendary Dartmoor

"At 350 pages it’s a hefty volume with many photos & interesting information on a subject that’s never been covered in such detail in Dartmoor literature." Peter Caton Books

"I've had a good look through it and was surprised how much is in it. The map pages are very good and there are some wonderful photographs." Andrew McAuley

"My copy of The Book arrived today - it's genuinely excellent, especially the signature! Thanks Max and Paul." Tom Keen

"I'm very impressed, both by the production quality and the vast amount of detail you've collected and presented." Peter Freeman

"One of the best non-fiction books about Dartmoor published in recent years. A volume every walker and Dartmoor enthusiast should get for their bookshelves. Beautifully illustrated and very informative - a Dartmoor classic in the making." John and Anne
