Dartmoor: The Tors and Rocks North-East of Peter Tavy

Back to Smeardon Down, I was meeting up with Paul Buck and Tim Jenkinson to visit one new tor, a rediscovered tor, a possible contender for Brousentor and taking in the tors along the River Tavy. Tim and I met Paul at the quarry car park at Smeardon Down where we headed west down the road and through the quaint village of Peter Tavy.

Dartmoor: The Tors East of Peter Tavy

Today was always going to be a hot one, not least the fact that although a short walk, we had to be mindful of not only ourselves but also the Dogs - they do not like the heat and it really can be dangerous for them. Nevertheless, taking this into consideration, probably less than we should've, we parked up below Little Cox Tor near Higher Godsworthy, to start the walk.
